If there's one thing for certain about the game of golf right now, it’s that the Ryder Cup is golf’s ultimate team event. Seriously, does it get any better than Team USA vs. Team Europe and golf being played in its purest form: match play?

Over the years, each Ryder Cup has created so many memories for golfers and fans of the game... and there’s no doubt this year’s event will do the same.

From September 26-28, 2025, the excitement and drama returns to U.S. soil at the brutally difficult Bethpage Black, located at Bethpage State Park in Farmingdale, NY. We cannot wait!

If it isn’t obvious, the aboutGOLF team absolutely loves the Ryder Cup! What’s not to love, though, right? No other event brings people together quite like the Ryder Cup.

And on that note, we’re honored to officially invite ALL aG golfers from around the globe to join the aboutGOLF 2025 Ryder Cup Challenge!

Login to ANY aboutGOLF Simulator by scanning the QR code with the aG Locker App.
- ‍If you don’t have it yet, you can get the aG Locker App here.‍
Click the “Events” button on the home screen.
Select “aboutGOLF 2025 Ryder Cup Challenge.”
Then, click on the green “VIEW EVENTS” button.
From there, you’ll select the contest you’d like to join and then click on the green “PLAY / VIEW LEADERBOARD” button.
- Closest To The Pin (CTP)
- Front 9 Only
- Back 9 Only
- All 18 Holes

If you want to access one of the stroke play contests, simply click the "Back" button within the event.

Rules For Each Of The 4 Contests

CTP‍
- Closest to the pin on the Par 3, 17^th Hole.
  - Men = Blue Tees, 190 yards.
  - Women = Red Tees, 173 yards.
- Each player gets 5 shots.

Front 9 Only‍
- Stroke play, lowest gross score.
- Unlimited attempts.

Back 9 Only
- Stroke play, lowest gross score.
- Unlimited attempts.

All 18 Holes
- Stroke play, lowest gross score.
- Unlimited attempts.

Determining Winners, Tiebreakers & Winning Prize Amounts

The 4 contests are all separate from one another and each one will have its own single winner.

Tiebreakers:

CTP: First posted hole-in-one automatically wins 1st Place prize.

UPDATE: We've added a prize for 2nd Place!
- Cameron_Mullins currently holds 2nd at 0.8 ft (as of 10-3-2025 @ 9:37am ET).
- Beat that shot to qualify for the 2nd Place prize.
- If there’s a tie for 2nd, the prize will be split.
- If an additional hole-in-one occurs, that player will take the 2nd Place prize.
- If multiple hole-in-ones occur, the 2nd Place prize will be split among those players.

Stroke Play: Scorecard playoff, based on handicap hole scores.
