Breaking Technology
At the heart of any effort to accurately replicate the game
of golf indoors must lie intricate technology and focused technologists
with a thirst for continual improvement. AboutGolf's simulator
is the collaboration of two seminal golf technology companies
who are re-writing the standards for indoor golf on a daily
basis.
Ball And Club Tracking are produced through an exclusive
partnership with EDH, Ltd. of South Africa. EDH's scientists
have been working to perfect EDH Tracking technology for over
fifteen years, working specifically on golf for the last five
years, and working directly with AboutGolf's developers for
the last two years. The final product is derived from very stable
and reliable military ballistic technology designed by EDH to
track artillery fire for over thirty miles with a margin of
error of less than .01%.
AboutGolf's Sim Sensor applies
patented 3D phased-array microwave technology that operates
at 7,000 cycles per second, providing an amazingly accurate
view of the flying ball and club head for their entire flight.
The Sim Sensor, once properly calibrated, needs little or no
ongoing adjustment. While system failures are extremely rare,
if a sensor fails a replacement can be delivered overnight and
installed by the user in about 15 minutes. Performance updates
to the Sim Sensor can be delivered via email, and automatically
load when the system is started up.

| The
solid-state Sim Sensor is about the size of a large
book, sits behind the screen, and provides 100% of all
ball and club data via a simple serial connection. |
